The first ever Shameless Disco at the Horse & Groom will be headlined by
Firecracker’s favourite son, Linkwood.
You’ll most likely already know Linkwood, aka Nick Moore, as the man behind some
killer EPs onboutique Scottish imprint Firecracker, a label that has become
popular with vinyl fetishists thanks to their limited runs of 10” records and
unique artwork.
Linkwood’s insouciant fusion of deep house, jazz, boogie, hip-hop and Detroit
techno – first heard in these Firecracker early releases – was showcased
magnificently in his 2009 full length System, released on Trus’Me’s Prime
Numbers imprint.
Bearing that in mind, it goes without saying that we are delighted to have him
headlining the first ever Shameless Disco soiree at the Horse & Groom. Supporting
on the night will be the ever reliable supporting cast of Charlie Watson,
Rubicon, Aaron Coultate and Jamie Hayward, who will be drunkenly dabbling in
their usual array house, disco and techno. Do not miss this one.
